Parliament meeting on Friday made the last discussion of approving of rules and procedures of Government Service Council. The MPs said the government service’s rating has fallen entirely because of low educated and bureaucratic employees.

MP N.Ganbyamba said that a graduate from Harvard University is unable to be employed in government service because the selection of the employees no longer takes in to account the knowledge of the people.

Board meeting of Mongolian Millennium Challenge Foundation took place at the Government House which was chaired by Prime Minister S.Batbold who is also the director of the board. The board discussed about making changes in structure and rules.

Manas Petroleum Corporation (OTCBB: MNAP) is pleased to report that DWM Petroleum, its 100% owned subsidiary, has completed its year-1 work program on blocks 13 and 14 in Mongolia, ahead of schedule. The work was originally expected to be completed on April 21, 2010.

BHP Billiton Ltd., Vale SA and Xstrata Plc, are among mining companies interested in developing coal deposits in southern Mongolia, the country’s Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy said. 

Gold and copper explorer Entrée Gold today said that the latest survey work over its Heruga deposit at the Lookout Hill project in Mongolia supported its contention that significant potential exists to expand the known resources there.
