Livestock Census Shows 4.8% Increase Over 2007 |

The National Statistics Agency has published the report of the 2008 livestock census. The number of livestock has reached 42 million 195 thousand 800 which is 1.9 million or 4.8 percent more than in 2007.

MPRP Elects New General Secretary |
|

|
U.Khurelsukh, a former MP, was elected the new General Secretary of the MPRP, at its plenum on December 20, with 70 percent of those present voting for him. There were two other candidates. Ts.Sukhbaatar got 26 percent of the votes, and G,Shiilegdamba, a former Nature and Environment Minister, 4 percent.
