Members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy worked Tuesday in the Ministry of Defense to get au fait with its policy and activity. The defence policy and the Armed Forces' policy are within the competence of this standing committee.

The American Express International has chosen the Golomt Bank as its official partner in Mongolia.
The cooperation between the two organizations opens up an opportunity to holders of American Express cards to enjoy services of the Golomt Bank.

Erdenet, the Mongolia-based copper mining joint venture that is 49% Russian-owned, will ship its copper and molybdenum concentrates and alloys to Russia from next year, Alexei Aleshin, first deputy director of the state Russian Technologies (Rostekhnologii) corporation, said during a visit to Ulan Bator.

In a recent statement in Ottawa to mark the 35th anniversary of Canada-Mongolia diplomatic relations, Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon said the bilateral relationship, “built over time on a strong foundation of common values and interests continues to grow”.

Mongolia, which is believed to have one-fifth of the world’s uranium deposits, has recently seen a number of officials representing both countries and private businesses visiting the country.
