Open an Account

Withdrawing money from your account

Please fill out the attached form and we will withdraw funds for you on your behalf. We will also need your instructions as to where to send the funds.

Checking your account

Clients can contact the “Central Depository and Clearing House” directly at 310460 and get account information.
Clients can also get account confirmation via our company. Confirmation of trades etc. can be sent by email or fax on customer’s request.

Adding funds to your account

There are 2 ways that funds can be added to your account.

Cash

Visit “Altan San’s office and bring us your cash. We will deposit this on your behalf into your account at the “Clearing House and Central Depository”
Do it yourself; visit the “Clearing House and Central Depository” and pay cash at their cashier for deposit into your account

Via wire transfer

Wire funds directly into your account by giving your bank the following wiring instructions:

Account opening

Customers who plan to participate in the Mongolian stock market need to open an account at the “Central Depository and Clearing House”. Altan San Securities will do this for you on your behalf.
We will need the following documents from you:

1. The attached account opening application form. Please email this to us at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
2. For Individuals:
      i. Copy of your passport (the page that has the picture).
   For Legal Entities:
      i. Official company letter requesting us to open an account in our brokerage (Including signature of an official contact person)
      ii. Copy of company registration.

Once we receive your application form with the attached documents, we will open your account at the “Central Depository and Clearing House”. Your account number will be sent to you shortly thereafter.

Our standard commissions are 4%.
40% of commissions we receive from clients go directly to the Mongolian stock exchange and other entities.

The Director of the Mongolian Stock Exchange has announced that they are entering the final stages of talks with Reuters and Bloomberg to broadcast news worldwide of the Top 20 Mongolian Companies listed on the exchange.

Altan San Securities Announces New Head of Research

In line with it's expansion plans and as a result of increased interest in research on Mongolian companies, Altan San is pleased to announce it has hired a Head of Research, Benjamin Lambert. Mr. Lambert will be providing our website with general macro and micro-economic content and will be issuing special research reports for our Institutional client base. Mr. Lambert holds a Master's degree from Oxford University and was previously working in business strategy for Centrica Energy in the UK.

Altan San Securities Announces New Executive

Altan San Securities is pleased to announce the hiring of a new executive staff member.
Guy Mock joins us from Bloomberg L.P. where he recently left his position as Asia Pacific Head of Electronic Execution Services.
At Altan San, Mr. Mock will be responsible for the day to day running of the operations and work on expanding the business. His main task will be to liaise with overseas investors who are interested in the Mongolian Stock market and to work on alliances with overseas securities firms.
