The third annual Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report released by the World Economic Forum places Mongolia 105th among 133 countries assessed. In 2008 Mongolia came 100th among 133 nations. The rankings are based on the Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index (TTCI), which measures the different regulatory and business-related issues that have been identified as levers for improving travel and tourism competitiveness in countries around the world.

Research in Motion, Alcatel Lucent and Mobicom Corp has announced the launch of the BlackBerry solution Mobicom in Mongolia. Mobicom will enable BlackBerry owners the benefits of enhanced communication via their Blackberry Smartphone.

A recently released report shows total Mongolian trade through the U.S. Port of Los Angeles fell by 21.78 percent in 2008. However, Los Angeles remains the largest volume port in the U.S.
