MP and Minister for Roads Transport Construction and Urban Development Kh.Battulga, Director of Housing Fund Corp. J.Aldarjavkhlan, Executive Director of National Construction Association B.Ganzorig made press conference regarding the “4000 household” program for the state servants.

“Europe – Mongolian Investors’ Forum” was held in London on December 3 2009. The forum was initiated and organized by the Government of Mongolia with active participation of the European Reconstruction and Development Bank in London. Over 250 delegates attended the forum. The Mongolian delegate was headed by the MP D.Zorigt, Minister for Mineral Resources and Energy, and delegate includes Vice Speaker N.Enkhbold, MP R.Amarjargal, Head of the Mongolian – Britain Parliamentary group, MP Kh.Jekei, D.Khayankhyarvaa. The forum was started with panel of “the current situation of the Mongolian economy and opportunities”. Other discussion sessions are “economy outlook of Mongolia and impact of the global financial crisis in the Mongolian economy”, “EBRD strategy in Mongolia and its economy” and “The Mongolian investment environment”.

Board meeting of Mongolian Millennium Challenge Foundation took place at the Government House which was chaired by Prime Minister S.Batbold who is also the director of the board. The board discussed about making changes in structure and rules.

Parliament has approved the directors of all Standing Committees. 

Standing Committee for Security and Foreign Policy – MP Z.Enkhbold  by 95.2 percent

Standing Committee for Legislation – MP B.Bat-Erdene by 95.2 percent

Standing Committee for Economy – MP Ts.Bayarsaikhan by 97.9 percent

Standing Committee for Nature, Environment and Agriculture – MP Batj.Batbayar by 100 percent

Standing Committee for Social Policy, Education, Culture and Science – MP D.Arvin by 100 percent

Standing Committee for Budget – Ts.Davaasuren by 100 percent

Standing Committee for Government Organization - U.Enkhtuvshin by 100 percent

DP group is in charge of three Standing Committees while MPRP group has four.

A conference on “Key issues of the capital market development” was held between senior officials of the state owned companies, insurance and securities organizations. During the conference a study on capital market made by over 10 lawyers of the National Institute of Legislation was presented. Its findings says that the Law on Securities is not clear, lacking specific provisions and incapable of regulating market progress.
