ENKHBAYAR GETS A CLEAN CHIT IN TWO CASES Print E-mail
The Metropolitan Prosecuting Authority has decided that the two cases concerning former President N.Enkhbayar that were forwarded to them by the Anti-Corruption Authority do not involve any criminal act. Citizen Sh.Batbayar made two complaints to the Authority in August and after a preliminary probe the inspection department there transferred the cases to prosecutors for further investigation. Now they have absolved Enkhbayar of any wrongdoing.

“KEEP THE CABINET AS IT IS,” BAYAR ASKS MPS IN HIS FAREWELL SPEECH AS PRIME MINISTER Print E-mail
S. Bayar came into the Hall of Parliament on Wednesday afternoon through the special door meant for the Prime Minister but left the meeting, after it had accepted his resignation, through the door used by all MPs, quipping to journalists, “I’m still an MP.” MPs nominated First Deputy Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag as acting Prime Minister until a successor to Bayar was chosen.
