| Economic Choices Before Mongolia To Be Discussed |

The World Bank and the Mongolian Government are jointly hosting a Mongolia Economic Policy Conference on October 28, where internationally renowned economic policymakers from abroad will publicly exchange views with their Mongolian counterparts in finding ways to address Mongolia's development challenges.
Among them are Justin Lin, Chief Economist, World Bank, and Egor Gaydar, a former Prime Minister of Russia.
Mongolia will be represented by, among others, O. Chuluunbat, MP, D. Zorigt, Minister of Minerals and Energy, Z. Enkhbold, MP, S. Bayartsogt, Minister of Finance, Ch. Khurelbaatar, MP, A. Batsukh, Governor, Bank of Mongolia, Prof. Khaschuluun, School of Economics, NUM; and B. Batbayar (Baabar), columnist. Among other participants and speakers will be David Dollar, Country Director for China and Mongolia, World Bank, Byung Jang, Resident Representative, IMF, and Mandar Jayawant, Deputy Country Director, ADB. President N. Enkhbayar will give the inaugural address, and the closing remarks will come from Prime Minister S. Bayar. The main topics of discussion will be “Mongolia's vision for development", “Sparse, mineral rich and remote: What options for Mongolia?", "Managing resource rents: lessons from near and far", "Russia's experience: A critical view, and what are the lessons for Mongolia's development?" There will also be a roundtable discussion on managing inflation and growth.
