| Meat And Potato Cheaper, Milk Prices Increase |

Following its regular weekly surveys of the nine main bazaars the National Statistics Office has revealed that the price of common food products was down by 5.7 percent last week from those in the week before. This was also1.6 percent below the average September prices.
Bread prices rose marginally, so did those of rice and eggs, but milk
cost 24.7 percent more, butter 1.7 percent more, and onion prices rose
by 2.7 percent. On the other hand all meat prices fell. Mutton was down
by 10.8-12.4 percent, beef by 9.2-11.9 percent, and horse meat by 5.9
percent. Vegetable oil cost 4.1 percent less, sugar 1.1 percent and
Mongolian potato 10.2-18 percent.
