mongol_bank.jpeg       The Mongolbank reports that money supply (broad money or M2) at the end of May amounted to MNT2,461.4 billion, a 2.5 per cent increase in a month, but 2.2 per cent less than in May 2008. Growth of quasi money is the main reason why money supply has risen 6.1 per cent since the beginning of 2009.
Currency issued increased 8.1 per cent over April, and 2.9 per cent over May 2008.
Outstanding loans at the end of May dropped 1.2 per cent from April 2009, but were 2.4 per cent more than in May last year.
