Centerra gold says strike ends at Boroo gold mine Print E-mail
boroo_gold.jpeg        Centerra Gold Inc has said it has settled the labour dispute with the trade union at the Boroo gold mine in Mongolia with effect from June 16, 2009.
The key terms of the settlement provide enhanced future redundancy benefits to permanent employees. The group believes the settlement will not have a material impact on future cash costs.
Boroo's operating licenses remain suspended, and Centerra is working with the relevant government agencies to remove the suspension as soon as possible in order to resume normal mining operations, it added.
