| LEGAL ADVISOR TO PRESIDENT MEETS AF`S DELEGATION |

A legal advisor to the President G.Ganzorig received Monday Mrs. Meloney C. Lindberg, the country representative of the Asia Foundation (AF) for Mongolia, and Mrs. Enkhjin, a manager of the AF's program on governance. The visitors spoke about results of a research conducted by the AF ito opportunities of tackling economic, commercial and legal controversial cases by non-judicial methods. They expressed a willingness to cooperate with the Presidential Office in court reforming and combating corruption and bureaucracy. In his turn, the legal advisor Ganzorig introduced to the AF's delegation a program on deepening the reform in a scope of jurisdiction supported by a recommendation of the National Security Council. He said the State Head of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj has drawn up a draft amendment to the criminal law and submitted it to parliament in an aim to intensify the combat against corruption and bureaucracy. He added that the President started collecting from related organizations voted on ways of abolishing the capital punishment after having working out the draft amendment to the criminal law.
