A delegation headed by Jean-Claude Juncker, the Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg, was received by N.Enkhbayar, the President of Mongolia, in the State Ceremonial Hall Monday.

At the beginning of the meeting, N.Enkhbayar underlined that the visit of the Luxemburg Premier contributes to the development of the relations and collaboration between the two countries and becomes a great step towards the partnership of Mongolia and the European Union (EU). Then he said Luxemburg has possibilities of expanding ties in social sectors, for example, by boosting Mongolia's economy and investing it, and Mongolia--of entering the European market. "Our countries need to cooperate in implementing long term projects in mining sector and in preparing specialists," he added.
Having mentioned that a support given by European countries to Mongolia in developing the democracy and market system has played a significant role, N.Enkhbayar expressed his confidence that EU countries will continue their investments and financial assistance for Mongolia. "In the politics and economy development our nation wants to have a realization of positive and balanced policy and activities, so we have to study experience and examples of European countries, of Luxemburg in particular," he said.
Luxemburg Premier Jean-Claude Juncker thanked the President for audience and expressed his full support to the proposal concerning cooperation between the two countries in economics and investments. Then the two dignitaries shared views about implementing big projects in mining sector, training Mongolian students in Luxemburg and activating the relations between Mongolia and EU.
