The U.S. Embassy in Ulaanbaatar in conjunction with the Parliament of Mongolia has announced the visit of a U.S. Congressional delegation from the House Democracy Assistance Commission led by Representative David Price (D-NC). The six-member delegation representing both political parties, along with eight Congressional staff members, will visit Mongolia on June 29-30, 2009. The purpose of this visit is to engage in discussions with Mongolian counterparts on the workings of the U.S. Congress and the Mongolian Parliament, sharing practices and experiences, in recognition of Mongolia’s strong democratic growth over the past 18 years.
