UN To Train Mongolians In Using Latest Communications Print E-mail
A UN program will train Mongolian officials in using the most up-to-date communications to better govern the country.

The UN Asian and Pacific Training centre will offer a classroom setting for the officials to have them learn using TV, radio and Internet communication tools in assisting in governing and security. Citizens' privacy matters will also be a core issue in the program.
"Mongolia is a challenging place for development--landlocked, with extreme climate, dominated by a sparsely populated steppes and semi-desert," said Hyeun-Suk Rhee, an official of a subsidiary body of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.
The first national workshop will be held in November for ministers, MPs and senior officials.
