Underwriting activity includes consulting the issuer, private placement, as well as IPO issuance on the stock market.
In 2006, a total of four companies issued shares on the Mongolian Stock Exchange. Our company operated as the official underwriter and chief dealer for one of them, Hotel Mongolia, with shares worth 1.44 billion MNT. In 2008 Altan San plans to get more involved in the IPO business and is working on building strategic alliances with some of the other large brokerage firms in Mongolia. |

11/12/2007 The Director of the Mongolian Stock Exchange has announced that they are entering the final stages of talks with Reuters and Bloomberg to broadcast news worldwide of the Top 20 Mongolian Companies listed on the exchange. |

Altan San Securities is pleased to announce the hiring of a new executive staff member. Guy Mock joins us from Bloomberg L.P. where he recently left his position as Asia Pacific Head of Electronic Execution Services. At Altan San, Mr. Mock will be responsible for the day to day running of the operations and work on expanding the business. His main task will be to liaise with overseas investors who are interested in the Mongolian Stock market and to work on alliances with overseas securities firms. |
