In 1964, construction of Ulaanbaatar’s first 200 room hotel began. After completion, the hotel became part of the “Bayangol Hotel Shareholding Company .” The Hotel was acquired by the Genco Group on Dec 11, 1991. In June of 2003, the hotel obtained the 4 Star status that it still holds. Today the hotel is one of 200 hotels operating in Mongolia. In its history, it has played a significant role in the development of Mongolian tourism industry, and the company is proud of its long experience of over 44 years in serving visitors to the Mongolian capital.

Bayangol Hotel is now one of the few listed companies which distribute its dividend to its 2000 shareholders annually. The company has been selling public shares since January 27, 1992 with the initial price of 100 MNT per 1 unit of stock.
