Today Spirit Bal Buram (SBB) is the leading food and beverage manufacturer of Mongolia; operating since the establishment of its primary spirit factory in 1943. Spirit Bal Buram was privatized, and a majority of shares were bought by MCS Holding Company of Mongolia, in 1998. MCS Holding Company has 11 daughter companies in many fields of business activities including manufacturing beverages, manufacturing Coca-Cola products, engineering, consulting, importing and distribution. In the past 65 years, Spirit Bal Buram has taken the responsibility to manufacture and supply premium and top grade spirit of wheat grain throughout the country.

Spirit Bal Buram, is one of the few local companies, which have been granted the ISO-9001 standard. For the last four decades, SBB’s main factory has been the sole manufacturer of locally produced pure grain spirit, occupying major share in the market. The company actively pursues a policy to maintain a socially-responsible business that is dedicated to benefiting society and the Mongolian people. 

Spirit Bal Buram has over 600 employees and the capacity to produce 4.7 million liters of spirit annually. Today, the company covers 90% of spirit production market. It owns 70 buildings  and warehouses. The Ulaanbaatar branch factory alone has the capacity to produce 30 tons of vodka in 24 hours the equivalent to cleaning, filling and sealing 2,000 bottles per hour. The branch factory in Zuun Kharaa, Selenge province has a capacity to produce 15 tons of vodka in 24 hours. SBB produces its own brand-name vodkas such as Chinggis, Kharaa, Grandkhaan, Yeroo and Khubilai. The superior product quality and distinctive bottling and labeling have made these products the most recognized local Mongolan brands. The company has also started exporting its Chinggis Vodka brand to the USA, Canada, UK, Korea and Japan. 

Today Spirit Bal Buram is the second largest alcohol and beverage company by market capitalization on the Mongolian Stock Exchange. The company has been selling public shares since May 20, 1992 with the initial price of 100 MNT per 1 unit of stock.
